Questions

How do I use a journal prompt?+

Pick one prompt, set a timer for five minutes and answer without editing yourself. If you get stuck, ask "and why does that matter?" and keep going. Saying your answer out loud works just as well as writing it.

Which prompts are best for beginners?+

Start with Morning, Evening or Gratitude. They are concrete and low-stakes. Shadow work and Decisions prompts go deeper, so save them for days you have a bit more energy.

Is this generator free?+

Yes, completely free with no sign-up. It runs in your browser and we don’t store what you pick.

Can journaling replace therapy?+

No. Journaling can help you notice patterns and calm a noisy head, but it isn’t a substitute for professional care. If you are struggling, please reach out to a professional, or call or text 988 in the US.
